my personal story
After my father passed away 8 years ago I was left with a 30' x 40' storage barn that was filled from floor to rafters with his life long hobbies and a business he once owned. He was a child of the depression so he kept everything because he knew one day he would find a use for it.
The items ranged from nuts and bolts to car parts and accessories. Office furniture, house building equipment, tools, antique memorabilia, clothes and yes, even the kitchen sink.
In my process of deciding what to do with all of these items I learned how to determine what was valuable and not. I also learned how to appreciate what would be a collectible or useful item for someone else if it was not for me.
